Sachet & Bath Tea

Lavender is a natural relaxant, antibacterial, and soothing herb. We love to fill muslin bags and keeping them in our cars as an air freshener. We put them in our suitcase to freshen our bag. When put them under our pillows to squish and release their scent. When the scent begins to fade, we drop them in our bath.

To make, get a 3x5 muslin bag and fill with lavender.

We like to imprint the muslin with a rubber stamp image prior to filling them. You just want to find a "versafine" ink pad. It makes a big difference in terms of the quality of the image on the fabric.

To make fancier teas...

Mugwort is available in dry form. It enhances dreams and allows your creative energy to flow. Mix equal part lavender and mugwort. This can be used as a sleep enhancer or bath tea bag.

Oatmeal is a great additive to help itching skin. It soothes and is a nice remedy for sunburns too. Just buzz oatmeal in the food processor or if you have access to colloidal oatmeal, use it. Two thirds lavender, one third oatmeal is a good mix for this sachet. This is to be used for the bath.
